What paint should I use on Mid-America Vinyl Shutters?

Paint for 030 Paintable Shutters

Information on what paint to use on Mid America 030 paintable shutters.

by Kris Larson

The following information pertains to vinyl shutter painting and the Mid-America brand shutters that Larson Shutter sells.

NOTE: You can only paint the Mid-America vinyl shutters that were purchased as “030 Paintable”. If you purchased your shutters in any of the “Color Thru” choices then your shutters cannot be painted.

From the manufacturer:
Ensure the product is clean and free from debris. Use a TSP (Trisodium Phosphate) based cleaner prior to painting.
For best results, use a 100% acrylic paint or paint that is formulated to bond to plastic and vinyl. Mid-America recommends Sherwin Williams A100 or equivalent. Always follow the paint manufacturer's instructions for surface preparation and priming.

LARSON SHUTTER AND MID-AMERICA MAKE NO WARRANTY REGARDING THE RESULTS YOU OBTAIN WHILE PAINTING ANY OF OUR SHUTTERS.
